1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the website remember your preferences and maintain your authenticated session.

This Cookie Policy explains which cookies the BeMyWords service uses.

2. Cookies We Use

The BeMyWords application (www.bemywords.no and related customer-facing surfaces) uses the minimum cookies needed to operate the Service.

Essential cookies

These are strictly necessary and do not require consent under Norwegian e-communications law:

The workspace you last viewed ("last tenant") is remembered on the server side against your user record — no browser cookie is used for this.

Analytics

BeMyWords does not currently use any analytics cookies. Usage telemetry we collect is aggregate, non-identifying, and processed on the server side directly, without setting a browser cookie.

If we add analytics tooling in the future, we will update this policy and request consent where consent is required.

Third-party cookies

The BeMyWords application itself does not set third-party cookies.

When you start a paid subscription or open the billing portal, we redirect you to Stripe (our payment processor). Stripe sets its own strictly-necessary cookies (e.g. session and fraud-prevention / CSRF tokens) on those Stripe-hosted pages. They are essential to processing the payment, are governed by Stripe's privacy terms, and are not present unless you visit a Stripe checkout or billing page.

When you embed or integrate translations from BeMyWords into your own application, no BeMyWords cookie is set on your end-users' browsers — translation content is served via API without cookies.

3. Managing Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking essential cookies (session, CSRF) will prevent you from logging in to BeMyWords.

4. Changes to This Policy

If we add, change, or remove cookies, we will update this page and change the effective date. Material additions — particularly any non-essential cookies — will be accompanied by a consent prompt where legally required.
